Standard Policy

This applies to all direct bookings and platforms not listed below.

• Cancel 30+ days before check-in → Full refund

• Cancel less than 30 days before check-in → No refund

• No refund for early check-out or shortening your stay after check-in
  

Airbnb Reservation

Airbnb’s Firm Policy offers flexibility for guests who cancel well in advance, with partial refunds closer to check-in.

• Cancel 30+ days before check-in → Full refund

• Booked 14–30 days before check-in → Full refund if canceled within 48 hours

• Cancel 7–29 days before check-in → 50% refund

• Cancel less than 7 days before check-in → No refund
  

VRBO Reservation

VRBO’s Moderate Policy provides a balance between flexibility and protection, allowing partial refunds closer to the check-in date.

Cancel 30+ days before check-in → Full refund

Cancel 14–29 days before check-in → 50% refund

Cancel less than 14 days before check-in → No refund

Extenuating Circumstances

In rare cases of large-scale emergencies—such as natural disasters or government travel restrictions—Airbnb and VRBO may override standard cancellation policies.

Airbnb – Major Disruptive Events

If a major event prevents or legally prohibits travel, Airbnb’s Major Disruptive Events Policy may apply. Guests may receive a refund, travel credit, or other support, and hosts can cancel without penalties. This applies only when Airbnb activates the policy and is not considered insurance.

VRBO – Extenuating Circumstances

When VRBO activates its Extenuating Circumstances Policy, guests are eligible for full or partial refunds depending on the status of the stay. Hosts are required to refund affected travelers, and compliant cancellations are protected from penalties.

Travel Insurance
